1. Who we are

2. What Heard is

Heard is a kitchen app you talk to. It is designed to write down 86'd items, low stock, prep and requests so the whole kitchen can see them. It is in development. The Site offers a demo and a waitlist. Pricing is agreed in writing with each restaurant; nothing on this Site is an offer or a quote. People on the waitlist get early access and extra benefits, including a first look at premium features. What those benefits are has not been decided yet, and we will tell you before the beta opens. Joining the waitlist is not a contract and does not promise a spot, a date or a price.

3. The demo is pretend

The demo app shows a made-up restaurant called Juniper Kitchen. Its people, menu, stock, suppliers and numbers are fiction. Nothing in it is a real business.

• "Send order" and similar buttons only mark something on screen. No order is placed with anyone.
• Nothing you do in the demo creates a record of a real kitchen. (We do keep anonymous counts of how the demo is used; see our privacy policy.)
• The demo may reset, change or go away at any time without notice.
• Do not type real customer names, real staff details or any payment details into the demo. Your text goes to outside AI companies (see our privacy policy).

The demo exists to show how Heard works. It is not a tool for running a real kitchen.

4. The AI can be wrong

Some replies in the demo come from the app itself. Others, when the "Plain talk" setting is on, come from an outside language model working from sample data. Either kind can misunderstand you, make things up or give a wrong answer. A person must check anything the demo says before acting on it.

Heard is not a food safety tool. It does not check temperatures, allergens, dates, labels or health code rules, and nothing it says is advice on those things. Follow your local health department's rules and your own training. We make no promise that anything on the Site meets any food safety, health, labor or other legal rule.

5. Your voice and outside services

If you use the microphone in the demo app, your browser (not Heard) turns your speech into text. In Chrome, that means Google. The text you type or say, plus a snapshot of the pretend kitchen, goes to an outside AI company to get an answer. Our privacy policy says exactly what goes where. By using those features, you accept that those companies' terms and policies also apply to what they receive.

6. The waitlist

Joining the waitlist means you want to hear from us about the Heard beta. It is not a contract. It does not promise you a place in the beta, a date, a price or any feature. We may close the waitlist, change the beta plan or decide not to run a beta at all. If we invite you to the beta, a separate Beta Agreement will apply.

7. Acceptable use

Please use the Site the way a visitor would. Here is what we ask you not to do.

• Do not scrape or copy the Site or the demo in bulk. Not by hand, not by script.
• Do not probe, scan or attack the Site. Do not test its security. Do not try to get around its limits.
• Do not flood the demo with requests. Do not run bots against it. Do not use it to run up our AI costs.
• Do not try to make the AI produce harmful, hateful or illegal content. Do not try to make it reveal its instructions.
• Do not put other people's personal details, payment details or anything unlawful into the demo.
• Do not pretend to be someone else. Do not pretend to be us.
• Do not use the Site to break any law.

If you find a security problem, tell us by email instead of testing it further. The address is sheraz@buzzyautomation.com.

We may block any address or visitor that breaks these rules, without notice.

8. Our content and trademarks

The words, design, code, animations, sound and images on the Site belong to Buzzy Automation LLC. "Heard" and "Buzzy Automation" and their logos are our names and marks. You may link to the Site and share screenshots to talk about Heard. You may not use our names, logos or content to suggest we endorse you or your product, or to build something that competes with Heard.

Square, Toast and Clover are trademarks of their owners. We name them only to say which point-of-sale systems restaurants use. Heard is being built to connect to Square; that work is in a test environment and nothing is connected today. A Toast connection needs Toast's partner approval, which we do not have. A Clover app needs Clover's approval before it can be published to Clover merchants. We plan to ask both; there is no date. None of these companies sponsors, endorses or is connected with Heard or Buzzy Automation.

9. Links to other sites

The Site links to other sites, including our company site buzzyautomation.com and Google's booking page. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for what is on them or what they do with your data. Their own terms and policies apply.

10. No warranty

The Site and the demo are free, and we offer them "as is" and "as available." We do not promise that the Site will always be up or free of errors. We do not promise that anyone is watching it. We do not promise that anything the demo says is correct, complete or useful for any purpose. We do not promise that the Site meets any food safety, health or legal rule.

As far as the law allows, we give no warranty of any kind, spoken or implied. That includes any implied promise that the Site is fit for a purpose or of merchantable quality.

11. Limit on our liability

The Site and the demo are free. As far as the law allows, Buzzy Automation LLC and its members are not liable to you for indirect damages of any kind. That includes lost profits, lost data, lost business and punitive damages. This applies even if we were told such a loss could happen.

If a court finds we owe you something because of the Site, the most we will owe you in total is one hundred US dollars (US $100).

Some places do not allow some of these limits. If that applies to you, these limits apply only as far as the law allows.

12. Age

The Site is for people who run and work in restaurant kitchens. You must be at least 13 to use it. It is not aimed at children.

13. Governing law

Texas law governs these terms. Texas rules about which state's law applies do not change this.

If there is a dispute about the Site, it will be heard in a state or federal court in Texas, and you agree to that.

14. Changes to these terms

We may change these terms. When we do, we will change the date at the top. Using the Site after that date means you accept the new terms. If a change is major, we will say so on the Site.

15. The whole agreement

These terms and our privacy policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the Site. If any part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies. If we do not enforce a rule once, we can still enforce it later.
